Unit How Living Things Grow and Change
Standards
Objective  Students will be able to explain that living things have offspring that resemble their parents.
Procedure
  1. Invite children to think back to when they were 5.
  2. Ask, “Are you the same now as you were then? How have you changed?”
  3. Ask, “How do you think you will look different 5 years from now?”
  4. Ask, “How do children change as they become an adult?”
  5. Invite students to STOP ‘n’ JOT on a sheet of scrap paper: a picture of a baby, a child, a teenager, and an adult.
