Standards   •Our local communities have elected and appointed leaders who make, enforce, and interpret rules and laws
Objective Students will hear a little about the life of a President and then decide if they’s ever want to be President and why.
Procedure
  •  Students will watch the book So You Want to be President on BookFlix (Scholastic).  If you do not have BookFlix, you can just read the book.
  • Students will also read the Informational Rookie Reader: George Washington via Book Flix and discuss/make connections

  • Students will discuss if they would want to be president someday.
  • Students will fill out the activity sheet about what the first thing they would do as President.

  • Book Flix
  • Activity page from US resource box
